The grand ceremony to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Youth League of China was solemnly held at 10 a.m. on May 10th at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.

As the main content of the next stage of the "Celebrating the 20th Congress, Always Following the Party, and Striving for a New Journey" thematic education practice activities, it should be implemented in all aspects of work.

Youth harbors boundless hope, and young people create a brilliant future. A nation can only thrive and prosper if it looks to youth and maintains its youthful vigor.

  The national leader expressed several expectations for the Communist Youth League:

First, we must continue to cultivate Party members, always ensuring that we serve as a political school that leads the ideological progress of Chinese youth.

Second, take the initiative to assume responsibility and always remain as the vanguard force for the continuous efforts of Chinese youth.

Thirdly, we always keep the interests of the vast number of young people in mind and have remained the most solid bridge and bond for the Party to connect with the youth.

Fourth, be courageous in self-revolution and always remain an advanced organization that closely follows the Party and stays ahead of the times.

The important speeches delivered by the national leaders carry the warm concern of the Party Central Committee for the youth and the high attention given to the cause of the Communist Youth League. They are highly political, ideological, strategic and instructive. All of us should study and understand them thoroughly and implement them in depth.

For the country and the Party, the youth are the ones that deserve the most care and the most anticipation. The youth are like young trees growing vigorously on the earth, and one day they will grow into towering trees, shading the entire sky. The youth are also like the rising sun, constantly accumulating energy, and at some point, they will spread light and warmth all over the land. The hope of the Party lies in the youth!

Today, the Party and the people also need a large number of such vanguard figures. The Central Committee earnestly hopes that the Communist Youth League can cultivate a large number of such vanguard figures. This is the earnest expectation of the Party, and it is also the earnest expectation of the motherland and the people!
