At the ceremony, the three parties jointly signed the construction contracts.

Han Dongwang stated that currently, the global shipping industry is in a crucial stage of transitioning towards green and low-carbon as well as intelligent development. The country's "carbon neutrality" goal and the advancement of the Yangtze River Economic Belt development plan have provided a clear direction for collaborative innovation in the shipbuilding and shipping industries. As an important force of China State Shipbuilding Corporation, Dalian Shipbuilding has always been driven by innovation and centered on customers, continuously enhancing the level of ship design and construction. It hopes that this signing will serve as a new starting point, deepen strategic cooperation with Changhang Group, jointly create a new benchmark for central enterprise collaboration, and contribute the strength of central enterprises to serving the national construction of a maritime power.

Ding Lei pointed out that the global shipping industry is undergoing profound changes and adjustments. China's Yangtze River Shipping Corporation, as the "national team" and "main force" of China's Yangtze River shipping, is committed to becoming an outstanding comprehensive service enterprise for intermodal transportation on the Yangtze River and cruise tourism. The Yangtze River Shipping Group attaches great importance to its strategic partnership with Dalian Shipbuilding and hopes that both parties, taking this cooperation as an opportunity, will continuously expand the breadth and depth of cooperation, jointly launch more types and higher-quality premium vessels, earnestly fulfill the mission and responsibility of a state-owned enterprise as "the major concern of the country", ensure the security and stability of the national industrial chain and supply chain, and inject new momentum into promoting the high-quality development of the energy transportation industry.
The two 11.5-tonne crude oil/finished oil tankers signed this time were specially designed by Dalian Shipbuilding for Xiangjiang Nan Oil. They represent the advanced level of current green and environmentally friendly oil tankers. The new ships are fully compliant with the latest international norms and environmental standards. They adopt innovative technologies such as hydrodynamic optimization lines, energy-saving frequency conversion devices and intelligent energy efficiency management systems. The energy efficiency design index reaches the third stage standard, which can significantly reduce carbon emissions and operating costs, and effectively enhance the comprehensive economic efficiency and environmental adaptability of the ships. Xiangjiang Nan Oil will take this as an opportunity to adapt to the new international oil trade pattern and the new trend of large-scale ships, accelerate the realization of strategic breakthroughs in the LR2 type oil tanker market, and accelerate the construction of a world-class oil tanker fleet.
This cooperation is not only a concrete practice of the two major state-owned enterprises complementing each other's strengths, coordinating resources and fulfilling their missions in the fields of shipping and shipbuilding, but also an important measure for China Merchants Nan'ou to firmly follow the path of "specialization, marketization and internationalization". It will provide strong support for the company to promote high-quality development during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period and comprehensively build a world-class shipping enterprise.
