On the morning of September 11th, the unveiling ceremony of the East China Branch of COSCO Shipping Special Transportation Co., Ltd. was grandly held in Shanghai. Chairman and Party Secretary of COSCO Shipping Special Transportation, Zhang Wei, and Vice President Zhang Chi inaugurated the East China Branch. 

The official establishment of the East China Branch marks a new stage in the strategic deployment of COSCO Shipping Special Transport in the East China region. Vice General Manager Zhang Chi emphasized in his speech that the establishment of the East China Branch is not only a crucial measure for the company to actively implement national strategies and integrate into the regional development landscape, but also a key leverage to further enhance the company's ability to integrate regional resources and provide customer services. The East China Branch will fully leverage its geographical advantages, accelerate its response to market changes, and further enhance the company's support for the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta and the construction of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, injecting new impetus into the high-quality development of the regional economy.

After the unveiling ceremony, Chairman Zhang Wei attended a research meeting of the East China Branch and listened to the work report on the transformation of the entity and the construction of regional value centers from the East China Branch. He highly praised the remarkable achievements. He pointed out that the East China Branch has achieved three major transformations through institutional reform - from "dependent control" to "autonomous governance", from "dispersed operation" to "regional centralized management", and from "marketing branches" to "regional value centers". The structure has become clearer, the business has grown against the trend, and management has been continuously optimized, demonstrating a strong development momentum.

Work Research Meeting of the East China Branch

For the next stage of work of the East China Branch, Chairman Zhang Wei put forward three requirements: First, firmly set the goals and focus on deepening the transformation, creating an outstanding model for regional governance; second, concentrate on value creation and fully expand the incremental market in the region; third, refine the excellent work style to provide a strong guarantee for high-quality development.

At Taicang Port, the loading and unloading operations of special transportation vessels are proceeding in an orderly manner.

The new energy vehicles and construction machinery have lined up and are about to set off for South America.

The East China Branch is an important pivot for the company to establish a foothold in the East China region and extend its influence to the Yangtze River Basin. Its establishment is a practical action for the special transportation company to fulfill its mission of "forming a large fleet", serving the construction of a maritime power and a shipping power. In the future, the East China Branch will focus on building an integrated service system including "marketing and development, on-site management, and basic port construction", closely adhering to the goals of "closer to customers, more efficient services, and more precise operations", and practicing the value concept of "all we produce can be transported, and all we transport are the best", contributing to the smooth circulation of both domestic and international markets and enhancing the resilience of the global industrial chain and supply chain.
